Plumbing fixtures and faucets
listed as Eco on our site are required to beat the following water-efficiency
standards:
* These requirements are based on U.S. Code which have been in place since 1992, and only apply to new fixtures and faucets. As toilets manufactured during the 1980's typically used 3.5 gpf and those older than that used between 5 and 7 gpf, a family of four upgrading older toilets with new low flow ones can save more than 100 gallons of water a day. More good news is the low flow toilets of today are engineered to flush much more effectively than those developed in the 1990's, which often took more than one flush to get the job done.
